At Rooted Bud Sales, we nurture your satisfaction as carefully as we cultivate our rare fruit trees and berry plants. If your order didn’t blossom as expected, our straightforward returns process will help make things right.

Our Guarantee

We stand behind every ginkgo sapling and espalier tree we ship. If your plants arrive damaged or fail to meet our quality standards, we’ll happily provide a replacement or refund within 15 days of delivery.

Please note: Due to the perishable nature of our living plants, we cannot accept returns of healthy specimens that have already been planted. This includes all fruit trees, berry bushes, and nut trees from our collection.

Eligibility for Returns

Your purchase may be returned if:

  • Plants arrive damaged or diseased (please include photos)
  • Incorrect variety was shipped (compared to your order confirmation)
  • Items are still in their original packaging and unplanted

Non-Returnable Items

To protect our plants’ health, these items cannot be returned once shipped:

  • All live plants that have been removed from original packaging
  • Planted trees or bushes (including all fruit trees and berry plants)
  • Personalized garden consultation services
  • Clearance or seasonal special items

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us within 15 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
  2. Include photos of any damaged plants (required for replacement claims)
  3. Wait for approval – we’ll respond within 2 business days with return instructions
  4. Ship items back using the provided return label (for approved cases)
  5. Receive your replacement/refund once we process your return

Return Shipping

For our error or damaged items: We’ll provide a prepaid return shipping label.

For other returns: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Refund method: Original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, PayPal)
  • Processing time: 3-5 business days after we receive your return
  • Appearance on your statement: May take additional 3-5 business days depending on your financial institution

Exchange Policy

Prefer a different variety of fruit tree or berry bush? We’re happy to exchange unplanted items within 15 days of delivery. Simply follow the return process above and note your preferred replacement in your email.
